This is my second post on MIchael Jackson. I've had his music around all my life. I've heard about him forever, since as early as 1969, ABC was one of my first 45. (My very very first 45 was Rock On). He crossed over the racial barriers, and I dind't think about him as black. I've never thought of him that way. Thriller was great, is great. As I said before,I have the vinyl of it. As with Elvis, the mental picture of his death (obese, naked, dead, from drugs), I have a horrible picture in my mind of needle marks all over my body-(not heard form TMZ, mind you, but form soemthing else), but it's clouded with the greatness of Thriller, and the early songs like ABC.
But, can we compare Michael Jackson with Elvis? And how? Because of the billions of fans, the fame, the songs, the DANCING? Maybe. But we shouldn't compare the deaths, the drugs, the scandals, cause they are two different eras, and two different times. I refuse to listen to anything that monoplozies publicity of Michael's poor children. Heck,I lost my dad in January, and I can feel his lost, which channeling has helped, but I am 47. The little children of Michael Jackson are not OKAY, like Michael's father said. No way. We must'nt feed into that.
I do listen to TMZ, it is almost comedy, and I do credit them for hearing form them first, about Michael, and Farrah, and Billy Mays. I also listen to The View, and I watch Entertainment Tonight. I do not pay attention to Access Holllywood,it is often on for noise, and it makes me cringe so bad, that today, I turned it off. Am I still a bit shocked by Michael Jackson's death? Probably. It's freaky. When his complete autopsy comes back, the turth will be there, and it will be huge.
