I’m going to review the festival in and of itself, as a separate entity, not as each band, and they did this and that. I try not to miss Rockfest. If I leave before the ending band, so be it. I figure, I’m part of the history that is being made at the moment, which was filling a park with 60,000 people. That is compared with 50,000 last year.

I arrived, with my son who just graduated high school on Thursday night and his girlfriend who is sixteen, around 8:30. My parking space was supreme, compared with last year’s at the same time. (Last year I parked over 3 miles away. Parking was closed off due to a jogging run. ) After finally being let in (why did we have to stand for twenty minutes, after being let in at the ticket taking aisles, before the gates opened? ) My son promptly took his girl friend over to the second stage. I went with my friends to the main stage, and we selected a shade tree.
