Monkey Fist-I resign it for the night

I'm on travel, in a hotel in North Eastern Missouri, 100 miles from home. Usually I bring either my laptop with World of warcract loaded in it, or my netbook, with internet access, and my knotting threads. Plus, my Kindle. And my tarot cards. I spend the time making jewelry, or reading, or both. I usually practice my knots.

Finally figured out Monkey braid, heck that one is easy. I was having trouble with the Monkey Fist knot at home, earlier today. I kept having a loose loop. So,I took my rope with me, and made a keychain with the monkey chain, that is pretty cool, only on strand, braided. I tried, repeatedly, over 40 times to get the monkey fist knot right. It's maddening. It's a monkey I'd like to strangle. The only time I've not messed with it, was when I was driving. The minute I checked into the hotel, out came the rope.

Out came the rope, I did the knot, nearly perfect, with a loose loop. Again and again. I love that knot, let's get this straight: It makes one awesome chain, but if done another way, it can be so deadly that it can kill. It's very decorative, but very lethal. It makes an awesome keychain. Nothing is more cooler than that. Nothing is worse than having a loose loop, after trying time and time again to get that loop right, even making a loose monkey fist, and working each loop, and it's still loose.

haha, I believe in channeling spirits, but I have no idea who created those little monstrous monkey. I'm on my netbook, but I should take a picture of it, with the loose loop, and maybe someone can help.I'm doing it exactly as the www.instructable.com cideo shows. This is the most odd thing ever. Usually I can tie them quickly. WOW. Maybe I should've taken my other laptop. I';ve spent the entire night, working on Monkey fist knots that don't quite make it. grrrrrr....or as a monkey might say, "Want a banana?"
